Confinement myth - Don't go out and get exposed to cold wind?

Traditionally during confinement, women are not allowed to go out and get exposed to cold wind. They need to rest more by lying on the bed. Behaviors during this period will have a significant impact on the physical recovery of the mum and her long-term health condition by avoiding the cause of headache or a sore back etc.

The physiological function converts the extra body fluids into sweat and is released from the skin or by urination. It is common for postpartum women to perspire or urinate more frequently. When the damp skin is exposed to a cold and windy environment, it is easy to catch a cold. Hence avoid facing the cold wind. Keep your body dry by wiping your perspiration and changing to dry clothes. If a postpartum mum wants to have a walk or exercise, she should keep her body warm. Refrain from making any contact with people who have a cold or an infectious disease.
