FAQ
Karihome Goat Milk Formulas
Why does Karihome Goat Milk formulas contain trans fatty acids?

Trans fatty acids are naturally present within fats and are present in milk fat (cow and goat). They are also produced commercially during partial hydrogenation of unsaturated vegetable and fish oils. Research to date seem to indicate that main concerns in terms of human health are associated with those trans fatty acids produced during industrial partial hydrogenation of unsaturated oils.

Trans fatty acids are not added to Karihome products. The trans fatty acid levels in Karihome products are those that are naturally present in milk. No hydrogenated oils are used in these products. Trans fatty acid levels in Karihome products are low and below the maximum level set for infant formula products.

The level of trans fatty acids has to be declared on the label of food products in accordance with Singapore labelling requirements. Please consume our products with peace of mind.
